Eurghhh…a toilet-themed fundraising pack?

It’s time to give the goats a break*, and explore new ways to engage the next generation of fundraisers. It’s also time to let people know that dirty water and inadequate toilet and washing facilities cause the deaths of 6,000 children every day.

Fundraising - a flash in the pan?

Money raised through Flush will deliver long-lasting and wide-ranging benefits. Take a look at Rahna’s story, on p7 of the pack. It cost Christian Aid partner AHDAA just £100 to buy materials for laying water pipes in Rahna’s village – and her life’s been totally transformed by them!

Remember, raising money doesn’t just benefit people living in poverty. Getting flush for Christian Aid will also empower young people in the UK and Ireland to work together to bring about real change – and have loads of fun in the process.

Comfort break anyone?

We know how busy youth leaders and teachers are. Flush provides all that a group or class could possibly need to get fundraising fast, including young people’s stories from around the world, great ideas – like toilet taxing, a sponsored flush-hush, or a potty party- plus a far from bog-standard poster (sorry) to let everyone know how they can spend a penny to support Christian Aid’s work.

Roll Over

It’s not all about the money. Flush invites young people to try their hand at loo-roll lobbying! We’re supplying a letter to the government which we want groups to copy onto toilet paper and send to No.10. It sounds silly, but here at Christian Aid we hope that a memorable session of loo-roll lobbying could spark a new generation of campaigners.

* We first published the legendary Goat for it! pack in 2004. Hundreds of schools and youth groups took up the fundraising challenge and to-date Christian Aid partners have benefited to the tune of over £50,000.
