Valentine's

'Here are ten games full of chocolate, hearts and flowers to help you celebrate this day of anonymous cards and general pink fluffiness.'

It’s not entirely clear who St Valentine actually was, but St Valentine's Day is on 14 February, and celebrates love and affection.

Here are ten games full of chocolate, hearts and flowers to help you celebrate this day of anonymous cards and general pink fluffiness.

And if you are fed up of Valentine’s Day already, read the H2G2 entry.

Small but important print: All games are free downloads or free to view online, and need the minimum of equipment.

Some games require your browser to have a 'plug in' for Shockwave, Flash or Java.

To play a game, simply click on its name. If you are a parent, we advise you to try the game and the site it's on first before letting your kids play them, to make sure you're happy.

When downloading games from the Internet, don't forget to keep your anti-virus and anti-spyware software up to date.

Turn cupcakes (by clicking on them) into pink hearts, and then collect the hearts. Avoid the Chocobadz, and click on the ‘environment rotator’ bar to look round for more cupcakes. It’s harder than it looks!

Valentine’s Day Wordsearch
Find the word linked to Valentine’s Day, click on one end of it and drag the mouse to the other end of the word to select it.

Valentine Hunt

Valentine’s Day Sliding Puzzle
Slide the pieces around to make the puzzle complete.

Black Dog’s Broken Heart
Put Black Dog’s broken heart back together again. There’s a harder version too.

Valentine’s Day Hangman
Guess the letters in the words and try to beat the computer – for every letter that’s wrong, another line is drawn.

Don’t Break My Heart
Try to keep the heart in the air as long as possible by bouncing it up with the mouse. If it hits the bottom too often, it will break.

Loves Me, Loves Me Not Daisy Game
Type in your name .and the name of your loved one, and then pluck the daisy petals to see if it is true love.

Valentine Word Drop
Unscramble the words before they hit the bottom by clicking on pairs of letters to swap them round.

Valentine’s Escape
This is an ‘escape the room’ game – keep clicking and looking for puzzle pieces. Go back to places where you have already looked – sometimes new pieces appear.

And as an extra – unwrap the chocolate bar in this tricky logic puzzle.
