This is a chance to step out of your day-to-day routine and travel with friends
and like-minded people on a journey through history to raise funds for the
world's poorest communities.
Come with your friends, family and other Christian Aid supporters on a special ramble through the Garden of England, along ancient paths worn into the North Downs by travellers dating back to prehistoric times, and later by medieval pilgrims travelling to the shrine of Archbishop Thomas àÌ Becket. The route you will follow passes ancient standing stones, iron-age forts and places depicted in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
Walking 45 miles in three days to raise money for Christian Aid may sound like hard work. While it won't be easy, the Christian Aid Events team will be on hand to advise you on training and fundraising for this unique event, which offers you the chance to see beautiful countryside and make new friends.
The pilgrimage will finish at Cantebury Cathedral with a special service that reflects on the events taking place in Edinburgh at the G8 summit taking place from the 6 - 8th of July.
